DUNKED in the tank

I just got home from my summer working as a camp counselor for a camp for boys 8-14. Last week for the end of camp the camp director asked if a few of us would be willing to sit in a dunk tank at the end of camp carnival and let the campers dunk us. I had never been in a dunk tank before but was really excited to. So there were a bunch of us that were getting dunked including me and my friends Ethan and Hunter who have all been working together all summer. We are all in college and none of us had ever been in a dunk tank before.
I was first and wore my camp polo shirt with khaki shorts and climbed up on the seat of the dunk tank. The campers were really excited and I could see the huge crowd of them while sitting on the seat dangling over the cold tank of water. It didn't take long for the first camper to hit the target and I got dunked which was shocking but also really fun. Sitting up on the seat in my soaked clothes waiting to get dunked again was the best part. Every time I climbed back up I would sit up there all wet and my clothes would drip and then someone would hit the target and I would fall back into the water. I think I got dunked 25 times.
Next was Ethan who wore khaki shorts with a t-shirt and hoodie and also got dunked a ton. He seemed to enjoy it even more than me but was really really wet while sitting up on the seat between dunks. Hunter was a lifeguard all summer so wore his red lifeguard swim trunks and was shirtless. He is really fit and looked good getting dunked but I think it was much more fun for the campers to dunk me and Ethan in our camp uniforms.
We are all planning to be counselors next summer and are hoping they have the dunk tank again.
