It seems that there are certain locations full of fools, such as Clevedon, Thorpe Park, Croydon Water Palace, and Worthing, where busybodies long to gaslight anyone who shows any form of creativity. The last three I mentioned above I have personally been gaslighted by piteous fools who seem to think one can only swim in "proper swimwear". However, sunce I moved to the East Midlands, the opposite is now the case :) I get random compliments from random wonen I don't even know, and the lifeguards at my local pool (Fusion) even smiled at me the first time I swam in rather more clothing than is considered normal (see my posts many lines down as to what I usually swim in). And local beaches I get the same response. For example at Cleethorpes the 'guards are very wam-friendly and even made useful suggestions as to tide times and avoiding the sandbars, and at Skeggy I have only ever seen 3 people wearing "proper swimwear". It's all a matter of confidence, and elimination of the "super-ego". If you look like you know what you're doing, the normies don't challenge you, and may even cheer you. Even Felix agrees (see beach-club/message/1386). So ignore the pitiful normies, who are too afraid of other people's opinion of them, and just go for it confidently :)
