truck enhancement

The electrophysiologist told me he'd operate on me by the end of the year. Thus far I've heard nothing. I sent him my 2026 insurance information anyway, though it must be unpleasant for him to have to get authorization from two different insurance companies for the same operation. The joys of American healthcare!

I didn't ask him if mudding is contraindicated, but videos I've seen indicate that moderate physical exercise isn't a problem. We went about a month without rain, and it's been quite a warm December. It got up to 83 F Tuesday afternoon. Last night we finally got some rain, but in most areas not a whole lot, just a minor spatter from the California atmospheric river. I looked at the rain gauge reports, and the state trust land got 0.2" in one place, so I figured that with the badly worn trails and deep depressions there might be some stomping mud.

I drove out there and for the first two hours I had complete solitude. I headed east on the power line trail and soon encountered some mud puddles, one of which was almost deep enough to flood my wellies. I then reached the junction and headed southeast. I found one puddle that's quite deep most times it's there, but this time it was shallow enough that I noticed a wrecked tire in it, and I pulled that out and put it to the side.

I continued to the southeast having fun and then doubled back. I heard a dirt bike breaking the silence. Then I saw a truck approaching from the west. I assumed it was passing through, but it made a strange maneuver and headed back westward. I found that there was churned up mud where it made that maneuver. The driver was playing in the mud with his truck. I definitely like truck mud and stomped around in that for a while. I headed further west and found there was truck enhancement to some of the other puddles.

I headed north, passing by Coyote Central, but I heard gunfire from that direction, so I decided to explore the area to the north for a while. There wasn't much mud there. I kept hearing shots, but the shooting wasn't terribly frequent, so I doubled back and approached the area from the north. By the waterhole a father and son were playing with a rifle. The boy looked to be about ten years old. I guess Santa took the rifle down the chimney and had the presence of mind to take a lot of ammunition with it.

I found there wasn't much mud apart from the main waterhole in that area, so I headed back west to my car. It was quite a satisfactory day.
